JL Smart Guide is the discovery and presentation layer of JL Network. It combines live schedules, sports context, catalog metadata, viewing activity, and community programming into a clear answer to what is on, what is next, and why it matters.
JL Smart Guide brings together the two sides of my career: nearly three decades inside sports and more than 20 years solving technology problems. I understand how athletes, families, coaches, schools, fans, and venues look for sports—and how fragmented schedules, media, applications, and viewing options can make that experience harder than it should be. The product turns scattered information into a clear next action: what is on, why it matters, where it can be watched, and which community is connected to it.
SELECTED EVIDENCE
01
Sports context before content
The concept begins with the people and relationships around an event—athletes, teams, schools, families, fans, and local communities—so discovery feels relevant instead of becoming another undifferentiated content catalog.
02
One guide across fragmented systems
JL Smart Guide is designed to organize schedules, live broadcasts, VOD, campus programming, owned media, venue information, and community activity into one understandable experience.
03
Built from systems experience
More than 20 years in enterprise technology shaped the product's emphasis on dependable integrations, clear information architecture, permissions, troubleshooting, and usable workflows.
04
Connected to real sports behavior
Nearly three decades of coaching informed how families follow athletes, how teams communicate schedules, how coaches use video, and how communities gather around live sports.
